Reflection.

When you stare at your reflection in the mirror
Do you see yourself In the light of horror
Do you write yourself a Sad story?
Where you are lonely and alone even at forty.
Your youth slowly fades away into a wrinkled face.
Where years of anti ageing cream helped you walk the town with grace
You thought you'd have been in a better place by now.
You thought you would've given in by now.
Left this dirt in search of a better place.
A new city to put on a mask. A bold face.

When you stare at your reflection in the mirror ,
Do you see yourself clearer ?
Do you write yourself a blissful story?
Where you are walking hand in hand with someone you love sniffing the morning glory.
Reading Agatha Cristie sitting on a rocking chair,
Where you still don't mind letting down whatever is left of your hair.
You know you're already in a better place than you were,
Where you laugh at your 20 year old's thought, " I can't take this. I'll die." Poor her
You've already left the dirt and found a better place.
Under the moonlight, to stare, kiss and gaze.

Perspectives.

Mirror mirror on the wall.
I'll come back to you when I drown and fall.
Pick me up before I break your glass
Because broken people like broken things. Sounds crass?
If the person standing in front of the mirror showed me a bit of affection
I wouldn't be talking to my reflection.

Paradox.
